I am truly honored to announce that my photograph “Stewey’s Eye” was chosen to receive a third place medal from PX3 International 2015(Prix de la Photographie de Paris) as well as an honorable mention! To add a little sweetness to the pot, my photograph, “Painted Winter” was awarded an honorable mention as well!! The Prix de la Photographie, Paris is considered one of Europe’s most prestigious photography competition. The competition aims to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris and Europe. Winning photographs from this competition are exhibited in a high-profile gallery in Paris and published in the high-quality, full-colour Px3 Annual Book.
All entries are pre-screened by Px3 one week after the final deadline on MAC 20″ calibrated moniters. Mailed entries are viewed under daylight corrected lights. Px3 may request digital files or scan mailed entries for official judging.
Official judging is done over several weeks by a distinguished jury of experts. The jury rates each entry from one to hundred (one being the lowest). The scores are then tallied and the winners are selected.
Px3 asks each judge to use the same criteria when reviewing the photographs: originality, creativity, excellence of execution, and overall impact.
Thank you to PX3, the Jurors, and the staff and especially to all of the photographers who entered the competition!!!
